Word Soun Power

The nth digri featured recently at  the Word, Soun and Power show in Brampton on August 6.  at Tropical Paradise, as part of the Bese Saka Festival. Organizers Brother Oji and Sankofa presented the artist with a beautiful gift in recognition of his contributions to African Canadian spoken word poetry: a hand-carved adinkra symbol from Ghana. The symbol is called PEMPAMSIE and its meaning is readiness, steadfastness, hardiness. Big thanks to the organizers and all the performers (which included Tuggstar and Nana Yeboah – see below)consistencynth_blackcap.pngnthdigri7.jpgsankofa1.jpgnthdigri_trop3.jpg
